Dawn Miller, Chief Executive Officer

CEO, Dawn Miller was born and raised in Susanville.  She has one son Justin Miller.

Dawn attended and graduated from Heald Business College in Sacramento in 1979 (Major in Accounting). After graduation, she moved back to her home town to begin her career.

Dawn was hired as the Assistant Manager at the Lassen County Federal Credit Union in November 1979. At that time they had a two room office in the Masonic Building. They were still hand posting the transactions and only offered regular savings and loans.

After 10 years, Dawn resigned from her Assistant Manager position and obtained her real estate license. She went to work at ERA Joy Realty.  In 1991, Dawn and Rocky Joy became partners in ERA Joy Realty.

While running her own business at ERA Joy Realty, Dawn was voted on to the Lassen County Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. She was voted President of the Board of Directors in 1991 and held this position until 1995.

Dawn also served two terms as president on the Lassen County Board of Realtors.  She was voted Realtor Of The Year twice during her real estate career.

In Feb 1998, she sold her business to her partner and returned to the Lassen County Federal Credit Union as an Administrative Assistant and was promoted to Executive Vice President 1999. In 2003, Dawn graduated with honors from Western CUNA Management School.  This is a three year school that deals with all the aspects of operating a credit union.  It is extremely challenging and rewarding.  Life long friendships were formed with other credit union professionals.

In 2007, Dawn was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Lassen County Federal Credit Union.  During her career at the credit union Dawn has overseen the introduction of several new products from share draft accounts, IRA's and certificates to online banking products and services.  Dawn was instrumental in making the credit unions charter change to a community charter, which opened up the field of membership to everyone that lives, works, or worships in Lassen County.
